Judo

Judo, meaning “the gentle way” or the way of being pliant was founded by Jigoro Kano (1860-1938) in 1882. Judo is now practiced as a global sport. Judo is made up of throwing, grappling and striking. A well trained Judoka will be able to feel his partners balance and get a good idea of when to time throws and movements through close contact and the push and pull of the partner..
